Gastonia, NC – AccuFLEX Golf Shafts would like to congratulate Steve Monroe and Sean "The Beast" Fister on their victories in the Men’s Open Division and Men’s Senior Division at the RE/MAX St. Louis Long Drive Championships held this past weekend. This was the third event for the Long Drive Association (LDA) 2007 Tour Season, which took place at Gateway National Golf Links near downtown St. Louis, Missouri.
3-Time RE/MAX World Long Drive Champion, Sean "The Beast" Fister made his first appearance in the Men’s Senior Division an impressive one. After chalking a distance of 322 yards in the quarter finals and semi finals, with his AccuFLEX JLG Ultraboom, Fister hit a drive 300 yards in the finals into a stiff headwind to capture the victory. The JLG UltraBoom is the same shaft Fister used to capture his last World Long Drive Championship in 2005.
AccuFLEX also notched a victory in the Men’s Open Division when Steve Monroe defeated Jason Zuback in the finals using an AccuFLEX PRO LD shaft. Distances of 363 yards in the quarter finals, 371 yards in the semis, and 350 yards in the finals was what he needed to out-distance his competition and capture the victory for AccuFLEX.
