About Reston National Golf Course
Opened in 1969 and designed by legendary Ed Ault, Reston National is a traditional, tree-lined course featuring generous landing areas throughout its 6,871-yard layout. The course is routed through the gently rolling hills of Northern Virginia and conveniently located just off the Dulles Toll Road – 10 miles from the Beltway.
The layout sports a great mix of holes – short ones demanding accuracy and longer routings requiring that elusive combo of power and precision. One of the course’s most impressive sequence starts on the par-4 seventh – the original signature hole and a stout, 422-yard dogleg left that bends around a lake to an elevated green. The eighth and ninth are testing par-4s to the right and each require a well- struck and well-placed drive. The final hole of this demanding stretch is the par-4 10th – a 459-yarder with a fairway that narrows for longer hitters and a sloping green from front-to-back flanked by sand on the right and left.
A recently renovated driving range features an expanded hitting area, target greens and the state-of-the-art Nike Golf Learning Center. Reston National also remodeled its clubhouse for an enhanced experience for golfers before and after their rounds.
