4DX Driver, FW and hybrids are fastest growing on tour, Eight players in Top 25 at Knoxville Open
"The 4DX Driver was the key for me playing so well last week in Knoxville. I am ecstatic with the performance this driver gives me. I had so much confidence off the tee. Every ball went left to right. I never once had to worry about the left side of the golf course."
-Kyle McCarthy
Finished 2nd at the Knoxville Open playing a 4DX Driver, 4DX Fairway Wood, 3DX DC Ironwood and ARC Wedges
"This driver is very workable, which helped me last week in Knoxville on both dogleg lefts and dogleg rights. The driver has made me much more consistent. We found the driver that allows me to hit it longer and with a tighter dispersion. The length has helped me shorten up the golf course and given me more confidence from the tee."
-Scott Gardiner
Finished 5th at the Knoxville Open playing a 4DX Driver, 4DX Ironwood and ARC Wedges
"I got the driver at a time which I thought I had maxed out my distance. I knew I was not going to be able to stay up with the longer hitters. The 4DX driver has given me the extra yardage that I didn’t believe was possible. At the same time, it gives me a traditional clubhead that installs confidence along with performance."
-Kevin Gessino-Kraft
Finished 14th at the Knoxville Open playing a 4DX Driver, a 3DX Pro FW, two 4DX Ironwoods, 3DX Pro Irons and ARC Wedges
The good news just keeps pouring in for Nickent! This week, after enjoying their first ever major championship last week at the US Open, the attention is back on their "hot" new 4DX Driver.
After a non-staff player won with the 4DX Driver three weeks ago, the 4DX has been the buzz of the tour. Eleven 4DX Drivers were in play last week at the Knoxville Open, including the 2nd place finisher, Nickent staff player and Nationwide Tour rookie Kyle McCarthy. Scott Gardiner, a young Nickent staff member from Australia, finished 5th with the 4DX Driver in his bag and Kevin Gessino-Kraft collected his third Top 20 in his last 4 events since switching to the Nickent driver.
Four players using the 4DX Tour Spec Driver finished in the Top 25 at the Knoxville Open. There was one player who carried both a Draw Spec and a Tour Spec version of the 4DX Driver to utilize two different ball flights, while another player had two drivers in play in order to fit the 4DX into his bag. Nickent is getting closer to becoming one of the elite drivers on the Nationwide Tour. In fact, the 4DX was the 5th most played driver on the tour at Knoxville, passing two super-power companies in the process.
"We have to remain focused through all of the changes we are experiencing due to the impressive performance of our entire 2007 product line," said Nickent Senior Vice President John Hoeflich. "Just because we have a winner in the 4DX Driver doesn’t mean we stop being the King of Hybrids, but it does add credibility to our story."
In Knoxville, 38 Nickent hybrids were in play, 11 more than the #3 manufacturer on the Darrell Survey hybrid count. Of Nickent’s 38 hybrids, 24 were the new 4DX featuring a .4 mm titanium crown brazed with a stainless steel body and 15 were the club seen in the bag of the US Open winner, the 3DX DC Ironwood.
Nickent also had a robust showing in the fairway wood category with 13 in play.
Twelve of the 13 were the new 4DX Fairway Wood, which was only introduced to players three weeks ago. This easily makes the 4DX the fastest growing fairway wood on the Nationwide Tour.
All in all, Nickent had 60 woods in play at the Knoxville Open, good for the # 4 overall wood spot in the overall count conducted by the Darrell Survey. This more than doubles the amount of overall woods in play by four of the top six golf manufacturers in the industry.
Eight players finished in the Top 25 at the Knoxville Open playing Nickent clubs, only 4 of which were paid staff players.
