NORWALK, Conn. – The first-ever Demo Day has been added to the 2nd Annual PGA Fall Expo Golf Tournament to be held at Royal Links Golf Club in Las Vegas on Monday, Sept. 10. Influential PGA Professionals and golf retailers attending the PGA Fall Expo will be able to personally test golf equipment and accessories from some 40 manufacturers during the Expo’s inaugural Demo Day, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Royal Links golf range, putting green and Demo Day Village. Expo attendees also are able to participate in an exclusive double shotgun tournament that day, with shotguns at 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Each shotgun will feature a $1,000 prize for the top two-person PGA Member team and Sterling Cut Glass awards for the top amateur finishers. Tournament participants will also enjoy complimentary lunch or breakfast and an afternoon wine-tasting featuring Bonterra Vineyards, the Official Wine of The PGA of America and the 2007 PGA Fall Expo.
PGA Head Professional Joe Prior of Olde Mill Golf Club in Schoolcraft, Mich., values the PGA Golf Exhibitions Demo Day opportunities saying, "Demo Day is a great opportunity to come out and test equipment so we can give our members genuine feedback on the latest equipment. It really helps us overall better retail and push more merchandise through the shop."
"The most effective way to promote the attributes of new equipment is getting product in the hands of PGA Professionals," said Joe Urzetta, Callaway Golf Vice President, U.S. Sales. "The PGA Fall Expo is an ideal and timely opportunity to demonstrate ball flight, the feel of our equipment and the latest Callaway technology."
