KENTFIELD, Calif. (June 28, 2007) – Fairway Skins Company, maker of a superior line of high-fashion ladies’ leather golf gloves, has donated a floral-design glove for every female participant in the 5th annual "EWGA at the U.S. Women’s Open" charity golf tournament, hosted by the Executive Women’s Golf Association Foundation. Proceeds from the tournament, to be played June 29 at the National Golf Club in the Village of Pinehurst, N.C., will support LPGA-USGA Girls Golf, a developmental junior golf program for girls ages 7-17 to play golf, build friendships and sample competition in a supportive and positive learning environment.
"We are pleased to assist the EWGA Foundation with this donation to its charity golf tournament played during U.S. Women’s Open week," said Marje Helfet, CEO of Fairway Skins. "LPGA-USGA Girls Golf is a worthy cause which we are proud to support. We feel the EWGA is a tremendously supportive organization for women. It promotes golf and brings players of all ages and abilities together for the love of the game in an enjoyable environment."
Over the past five years, EWGA Chapters and the EWGA Foundation have donated over $300,000 to LPGA-USGA Girls Golf. The EWGA is headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and has 120 chapters throughout the U.S. and Canada. For more information see www.ewga.com.
