Furyk Sets Buick Open Record
ATLANTA, July 2, 2007 – To say that Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club is a good layout for Srixon’s staff professional Jim Furyk is an understatement. Furyk carded a final-round 2-under-par 70 Sunday, giving him 37 consecutive below-par rounds in this event. He has posted par-or-better scores in 51 of 52 rounds at Warwick Hills G&CC. In addition, Furky’s T-5th place showing last week is his eighth top-10 effort at the Warwick Hills G&CC, giving him the most top-10 finishes in Buick Open history. This breaks the mark he previously held with Julius Boros and Tiger Woods. Srxion Staff Professional John Rollins also enjoyed his week at Warwick Hills G&CC with back-to-back 67’s over the weekend to also finish T- 5th.
Furyk showed pinpoint accuracy during the week hitting 80% of greens in regulation with his Srixon I-506 irons, forged wedges and ZUR-C golf ball. John Rollins had 20 birdies and one eagle using the Srixon I-302 irons, forged wedges and ZUR golf ball.
Furyk and Rollins both move up in the FedExCup standings to No. 7 and No. 9. Rollins moves into the top ten on the money list with earnings of over $2.1 million. Furyk is currently No. 8 on the money list with $2.4 million.
