Sweeps hybrids shaft count on PGA, Nationwide, Champions and LPGA Tours again
POWAY, Calif. – Using Aldila’s NV Hybrid shaft, the winner of the PGA Tour’s Buick Open avoided a four-way playoff and held on for a one-stroke victory Sunday at the Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club, Grand Blanc, Mich. It was his first Tour victory and Aldila’s third in a row for the second time this season.
Aldila also remained on top as the number one choice for hybrids shafts by sweeping the competition on the PGA, Nationwide, Champions and LPGA Tours for the second consecutive week. At the U.S. Women’s Open in Southern Pines, N.C., Aldila was so popular that they had more than twice as many hybrid shafts in play as their nearest competitor. The hottest shafts in golf also won the wood shaft manufacturer count as well at the Peek-n Peak Classic on the Nationwide Tour.
Aldila’s shafts are not only a huge success on Tour, but they are favored by consumers as well. Aldila was the leading graphite shaft manufacturer for new drivers, fairway woods and hybrid clubs for 2006, according to the Darrell Survey U.S. National Consumer Survey.
