Leading wood, hybrid shaft manufacturer on PGA, Nationwide Tours
POWAY, Calif. – The winner of the inaugural AT&T National in Bethesda, Md. got his second Tour win of the season Sunday using Aldila’s NV 85 Hybrid making it four consecutive Tour wins for Aldila.
On the Nationwide Tour, the champion of the Legend Financial Group Classic in Highland Heights, Ohio got his first Nationwide Tour victory using Aldila’s NV shaft. The 19-year-old Australian became the youngest player ever to win a PGA Tour-sponsored event.
Aldila shared the lead as the most popular wood shaft manufacturer on the PGA Tour and was the outright wood shaft count winner on the Nationwide Tour. Aldila was also the leading hybrid shaft manufacturer on the PGA and Nationwide Tours. Aldila had three times as many hybrid shafts in play as the second place manufacturer at the Legend Financial and had 50 more wood shafts in play than the second place manufacturer.
The hottest shafts in golf are not only sizzling on Tour, but are a hot commodity with consumers as well. According to the Darrell Survey U.S. National Consumer Survey, Aldila was the leading graphite shaft manufacturer for new drivers, fairway woods and hybrid clubs for 2006.
The Aldila NVâ?¢ features exclusive aerospace materials and incorporates Aldila’s exclusive Micro Laminate TechnologyTM that provides the players enhanced power, consistent flex and precise feel. The dampening advantages of the Micro Laminate Technology have eliminated distracting and destructive "shock". The result is a slim, stable design that maximizes distance, improves accuracy and offers the "perfect feel" the NV is famous for. The Aldila NV is available for woods, hybrids and irons in a variety of weights and tip sizes.
