BCG Company Namesake to Give Exhibition, Greet Fans and Sign Autographs
[VIENNA, Virginia] — On Saturday, July 21, one of golf’s legendary players – Billy Casper – will make a public appearance and conduct a free golf exhibition from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at one of eastern Pennsylvania’s historic courses – Reading Country Club.
The event is free and open to the public. More information is available by calling the course at 610-779-1000 or going online to www.readingcountryclub.com.
One of the greatest players ever, and beloved by fans worldwide, Casper won two U.S. Opens and one Masters to go along with the 51 tournament victories, ranking him seventh on the PGA TOUR’s all-time win list.
"An elder statesman and true living legend of the game, Billy’s appearances are always treats for golfers of all ages. His anecdotes from his playing days, insights into the game, and love of all of us who play it shouldn’t be missed," says Peter Hill, Chairman and CEO
of Billy Casper Golf. "We are delighted Billy Casper is visiting
Reading Country Club."
A wizard around the greens, Casper will give a short-game exhibition at the course, as well as sign autographs, take photos with and greet participants.
"I am excited to let golfers know that we greatly appreciate their playing the courses managed by our company," says Casper. "I also have a lot of fans and friends in the area from my playing days, and I can’t wait to see everyone."
Amassing one of the greatest playing records of all-time, only Sam Snead (82 victories), Jack Nicklaus (72), Ben Hogan (64), Arnold Palmer (62), Tiger Woods (57) and Byron Nelson (52) have won more PGA TOUR events than Casper. From 1964 to 1970, Casper won more tournaments than "The Big Three" – Nicklaus, Palmer and Player – combined.
