Industry’s Leading System Delivers Advertising Revenue and Player Advantages at Storied College Course
(CHANDLER, Ariz.) – ProLink Solutions — a wholly-owned subsidiary of ProLink Holdings Corp. (OTC BB: PLKH.OB) and the world’s leading provider of Global Positioning Satellite ("GPS") golf course management systems and digital out-of-home on-course advertising — today announces the Championship Course at the University of New Mexico (Albuquerque, N.M.) purchased, installed and now features the ProLink Solutions GPS system used at many of the world’s most famous golf courses and plans to participate in ProLink’s exclusive national advertising opportunity.
A four-time host of the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships, the Championship Course at UNM ranks among America’s finest collegiate layouts. In fact, it is consistently rated among the country’s top public-access courses by publications including Golf Digest and Golfweek. The course measures 7,248 yards from the back tees and features open, rolling fairways, undulating greens and hazards in the form of sand, desert, water and sagebrush. Views of downtown Albuquerque and the surrounding mountains provide a spectacular backdrop.
As home to the University of New Mexico men’s and women’s golf teams, the course boasts outstanding practice and locker facilities. It also serves as annual host to a pair of prestigious college tournaments, the William H. Tucker Invitational (men) and the Dick McGuire Intercollegiate (women). NCAA champions crowned at the course have included Scott Simpson (1976) and Phil Mickelson (1992).
"Our golfers will certainly appreciate the advantages the ProLink system delivers, including precise yardage measurements, tips from the pro and helpful hole depictions," says George Trujeque, Director of Golf at the Championship Course. "As a management tool, ProLink will make the staff’s job much easier when it comes to tracking carts and fulfilling food and beverage orders. And the ProFit advertising program makes investing in the system a sound financial decision."
The Championship Course at the University of New Mexico is the latest of the state’s top layouts to feature ProLink GPS, joining Black Mesa (Espanola), Paa-Ko Ridge (Sandia Park) and Twin Warriors (Santa Ana Pueblo) among others.
"The Championship Course at the University of New Mexico is steeped in college golf tradition, and we are proud to count it among our trusted partners," says Lawrence D. Bain, CEO of ProLink Solutions. "The continued expansion of our system means greater enjoyment for more golfers and added value for companies advertising on ProLink’s screens."
With ProLink’s patented, 10.4" high-resolution color screen — the industry’s largest – the Championship Course at UNM’s cart-mounted units display dynamic, easy-to-read graphics including distances to the pin and hazards, pro tips, pace-of-play timer and radial arc for cart-path-only holes. Golfers at the Championship Course will also be able to order food and beverage items with a touch of a button on the ProLink screen.
