ATLANTA, July 16, 2007 – Srixon had another strong week on tour, with a runner-up finish by Tim Clark at the John Deere Classic and a T-3rd at the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic by Laura Davies. Clark fired four rounds in the 60s to finish at 17- under-par, one behind the winner. Davies shot 8-under-par with 3 out of the 4 rounds in the 60s.
Although Clark has been limited to just 10 starts this year because of a nagging neck injury, he continues to grind it out each week. The second-place finish is his best of the year and moves him to 43rd in the Official World Golf Rankings and into the top 65 in FedExCup points. Clark uses the Srixon Z-URC golf ball and new I-701 Tour irons. This is Clark’s third runner-up finish in three years. Most notably, he was runner-up in the Masters in 2006.
Davies recorded her second third place finish in 2007. She averaged 273 yards off the tee last week with her Srixon W-506 Driver and Srixon Z-URS golf ball and she was hitting it close with her Srixon I-506 irons, recording 3 eagles and 14 birdies for the week. Davies moves into the top 20 on the Official Money List with earnings of over $400,000.
