NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (July 23, 2007) – KZG, the #1 Custom ProLineâ?¢, has selected its first authorized KZG Traveling Fitter, Jason Owen, who already has experienced an enthusiastic reception. The KZG Traveling Fitters program, initiated last month, is designed to bring a Tour Fit® level of personalized custom clubfitting to every golfer, regardless of skill level.
"Our Traveling Fitters program is off to an excellent start with Jason Owen, a talented certified Master Clubfitter," said Jennifer King, president of KZG. "Our equipment is the finest in the market and when fit by a professional, it simply becomes unbeatable. This program not only expands the visibility of the KZG brand to golfers everywhere, but also gives every player an opportunity to be fit like a pro."
Owen is a Certified Master ClubFitter and a PGA Class A Teaching Professional, as well as a former instructor at Arizona State University in the Professional Golfer’s Management Program and a Touring Professional on the Nationwide Tour. He played college golf at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. Owen’s diverse golf background affords him a knowledge of all aspects of the game, including equipment. His territory spans southeast Missouri and the southwest portion of Illinois on a rotating schedule during the spring and summer months, while during the winter he will cover Phoenix, Arizona.
The KZG Traveling Fitters service country clubs, golf courses, academies and driving ranges throughout the United States and Canada. Plans are for retail stores to be added to the mix. Already retailers who do not have a professional fitter on staff are requesting that KZG Traveling Fitters service their establishments as well on a regular schedule.
Steve Benzin, Director of Fitting and Education for KZG, directs the Traveling Fitters program and is in the process of selecting professional fitters with the highest skill levels plus the integrity and passion to fit players in clubs that are guaranteed to improve their games. There currently are eight more KZG Traveling Fitters in training who soon will be assigned territories.
As the golf business has grown more diversified and specialized, it has become increasingly difficult for any one individual to perform every function needed to run a golf establishment seamlessly. Thus, just as the need has arisen for specialists in instruction, marketing, management and merchandising, so has the need arisen for clubfitting specialists. KZG, an award-winning custom club company experiencing increasing demand for its equipment, established the KZG Traveling Fitters program in order to help fill this need.
Each KZG traveling fitter is fully trained and outfitted with state-of-the-art launch monitor equipment and demo clubs. Each KZG Tour Fit® session entails a full evaluation of a golfer’s current equipment, an in-depth analysis of the player’s goals for his game and an extensive swing analysis session. Following each Tour Fit® session, a fitter submits his orders for KZG custom clubs, which are built individually within three business days to each golfer’s exact specifications, including weight sorting of heads, shafts and grips; shaft aligning; frequency matching and swing weighting. The finished clubs are sent to the professional fitter, club, academy or store, or directly drop-shipped to the customer. Each professional fitter establishes his own route and calendar, so as to service continually and systematically the members of clubs and the customers of driving ranges, academies and retail stores. Once a fitter’s route is established, he posts his next "KZG Fitting Day," and appointments are set by the facility.
Founded in 1994, KZG offers custom-made golf equipment available only in the finest retail facilities with professional clubfitters on staff. KZG’s program of partnering with only the finest professional clubfitters to fit its award-winning equipment has catapulted KZG to a position of prominence in customized golf equipment. KZG’s comprehensive selection of premium golf equipment includes the finest drivers, woods, irons, wedges and putters, in addition to a wide variety of accessories and apparel. Clubfitting professionals may complete an advanced training course for KZG certification as Master Clubfitters at KZG’s North Hollywood, California headquarters.
