ATLANTA, July 23, 2007 – Srixon’s Tim Clark continues knocking on the door in his quest for his first PGA Tour win. Last week at the U.S. Bank Championship he finished T-2nd , his second runner-up finish in two weeks. Clark fired rounds of 68-65-66-71 to finish 10-under par and bring home $298,000. Clark has earned six-figure paydays in his last four events on the PGA Tour.
Clark was No. 1 last week in Greens in Regulation using the soon-to-be-released Srixon I-701 Tour irons and Srixon Z-URC golf ball. Although Clark has been suffering with a bulging disc in his neck, he continues to play solid in his efforts to make the Presidents Cup team and reach the playoff in the FedExCup competition. His second place finish jumped him up 16 spots in the FedExCup points to 41st and moved him to 39th in the Official World Golf Rankings.
Srixon’s Jim Furyk rode his Z-URC golf ball, I-506 irons, and Forged Wedges to a T-12 finish at the Open Championship last week at Carnoustie. He will be in Ontario, Canada this week, defending his title at the Canadian Open.
