NORWALK, Conn. – The PGA of America, Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM) and International Network of Golf (ING) are building a new level of career development programs and competitive tournaments in partnership with PGA Golf Exhibitions to complement the traditional merchandising and networking benefits of the 2007 PGA Fall Expo, Sept. 10-12, in Las Vegas.
"A powerful combination of new events and programs, plus the industry’s top manufacturers have made the 2007 PGA Fall Expo an ideal setting to accomplish important business objectives within a compact timeframe," said PGA of America President Brian Whitcomb. "In addition to discovering the latest merchandise, testing products and networking with colleagues, PGA Professionals and industry attendees have an extensive menu of business programs to build the growing success of their golf operations at home."
The PGA of America and several top PGA Professionals are key presenters within the expanded PGA Fall Expo education conference at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino Convention Center. PGA topics are diverse and include programs such as the full-day teaching and playing workshops by PGA Director of Instruction Rick Martino and PGA Professional Todd Sones; seminars covering maximizing revenue, management best practices, putter fitting and instructional business planning; and sessions detailing programs such as the PGA Certified Professional Program and PGA PerformanceTrak.
Additionally, The PGA will provide a PGA Employment Center as a career networking hub for the industry and a comprehensive PGA Member Business Center for PGA members and apprentices. PGA Professionals also will have the opportunity to participate in a competitive tournament with a $1,000 prize for top PGA finishers within the PGA Fall Expo Tournament, Sept. 10, at Royal Links Golf Club. The Association of Golf Merchandisers will present four education programs including the "Power of Purchase Orders," "Promotions to Enhance Your Bottom Line," "Retail Planning Questions" and "Visual Merchandising Insights." The International Network of Golf will hold their 6th ING Fall Forum in conjunction with the PGA Fall Expo, Sept. 9-12. Two ING workshops will focus on grass roots media and building their relationships and revenue with golf courses and vendors. ING members can participate in two golf events – the Triple Play Mixer on Sunday, where three formats will be utilized during the competition, and the ING Team Challenge within the PGA Fall Expo Tournament at Royal Links Golf Club. Additionally, a new ING pavilion on the Expo show floor will feature regional and niche magazines and ING business members.
