Feel Golf announced today that it will be releasing a new Reverse Taper – "Pro Releaseâ?¢" Performance grip modeled after their very popular Reverse Taper – Full Releaseâ?¢ product line. The new grip is designed with input from Tour Players who have been testing the prototype throughout Europe and the US during the 2006 & 2007 Tour seasons.
Feel Golf President & PGA Member, Lee Miller, said, "The Tour Players came back to us and said they wanted a few more options with respect to the shaft end of the grip. They love the smaller diameter at the top of our Full Releaseâ?¢ grip – that’s better designed to fit one’s fingers, but on the shaft end, they also wanted this a little bit thinner as well. This way, they can better control challenging shots (draws and fades) and it also provides the flexibility to build up the shaft end with grip tape to match their own unique grip preferences."
Made of the finest natural rubber materials in the X-Line, the Pro Releaseâ?¢ Performance grip delivers outstanding feel with a more natural finger grip that contributes to a full release through impact. This helps prevent hand blocks that can sometimes hamper the better players resulting in an errant shot. "Blocked hands at impact are one of the worse things that can happen to a professional golfer during tournament play," said Miller. "Just look at a TV swing analysis of a Tour Player on any given weekend – the hand block is often the result of an errant shot. Using the Pro Releaseâ?¢ Performance grip better allows the way your hands move through the ball at impact for better control and is simply, more comfortable. This is the feedback we have been receiving from the Tour Players."
The new Pro Releaseâ?¢ Performance grip is designed to provide better grip performance for Professionals and low handicap amateur golfers. Also, due to the new grip’s smaller diameter, smaller hand players may also benefit from its better control design. The Pro Releaseâ?¢ Performance grip will be available on September 1, 2007.
Recently, Feel Golf’s Full Releaseâ?¢ Performance grip was named the Official Grip of the United States Schools of Golf (USSOG). The USSOG represents over 60 premier teaching facilities throughout the country. "We believe Feel Golf’s Reverse Taper – Full Releaseâ?¢ Performance Grip provides golfers of all skill levels a better way to hold the golf club and promotes better swing characteristics improving shot making – whether off the tee or approaching the green, " stated Mitchell A Crum, President of the USSOG.
