SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The San Diego Golf Academy (SDGA), the oldest golf college in the world, is now accepting applications for fall classes. The fall semester begins August 29, 2007, and will feature a comprehensive curriculum that includes everything from club repair to business law. The deadline for new enrollments is August 28, 2007.
"The golf industry is constantly evolving, and we are making sure that students of all ages can continue to grow in this field," says Brad Turner, a PGA professional and Director of the Orlando Campus.
"At the San Diego Golf Academy, we’re committed to developing dedicated individuals in all areas of golf- from the classroom to the course."
There are a few simple steps to complete the registration process for SDGA enrollment. First, applicants must be 18 years of age or older, and must complete and submit an SDGA enrollment application. Secondly, applicants must provide supporting documentation – high school transcript, attestation, or SDGA GED attestation; and any college transcript(s), if applicable. Also, a $50 nonrefundable processing fee ($50 for USA and Canada, or $75 for other than USA and Canada) must be submitted within 30 days of applying to complete the admissions process.
Founded in 1974, San Diego Golf Academy is a two-year golf school that helps take golfers’ skills to the next level while preparing them for a rewarding and successful golf career. SDGA offers a 16-month program of golf instruction and golf business management on five campus locations in major golf markets – Phoenix, Honolulu, Myrtle Beach, Orlando and San Diego. The curriculum is designed to provide graduates with the education required to get the golf job they desire. The SDGA is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) and by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), a national advocate and institutional voice for self-regulation of academic quality through accreditation.
