Payette, Idaho Resident Played on the Champions Tour in 2006; Now Hones his Game at Robert Trent Jones Jr.-Designed Osprey Meadows Golf Club, Currently Rated the ‘No. 1 Best New Course in America’

TAMARACK, Idaho – Osprey Meadows at Tamarack Resort – the Robert Trent Jones Jr. signature design named America’s best-new upscale resort course by Golf Digest Magazine in 2006 – today announces that Scott Masingill scored a 59 in the opening round of the 2007 Pepsi Idaho Open being played this week at Twin Falls Golf Course in Twin Falls.

A member of Osprey Meadows and a representative of the sparkling, new year-round resort’s award-winning golf course, Masingill recorded nine birdies and an eagle to grab a piece of golf’s rarest feats – a round of competitive golf in the 50s.

"It’s always rewarding to go low and hopefully I can keep it up," says Masingill. "I’ve been practicing and playing quite a bit at Osprey Meadows which has an excellent practice facility, and the course makes you play every shot in your bag, so I was ready."

Thanks to his 59, Masingill, a resident of Payette, Idaho, led by three strokes after the first round.
