Victories in Canada and France keep spike maker in win column
Marlborough, MA-July 31st, 2007- CHAMP Spikes, the number one brand on tour, announces that the winner of the Canadian Open wore CHAMP Scorpion Stingerâ?¢ spikes. With twice the durability of its nearest competitor, the Stinger offers unparalleled traction through primary and secondary elements that provide gripping power, stability and support from the ground up. The champion, who won his 13th career PGA TOUR title Sunday, and his second-in-a-row at the Canadian Open used momentum from the front nine on Sunday, which included two birdies and rare a hole-in-one to secure a one stroke win over the second place finisher.
In Europe, on the LPGA Tour, at The Evian Masters, the winner also counted on CHAMP spikes for her first ever Tour victory. The winner was wearing the CHAMP Pro Stingerâ?¢, and won in a one hole playoff over the runner-up. CHAMP Spikes continues to be the spike of preference on the LPGA tour as six of the top ten finishers wore the CHAMP brand.
"A win is always something to celebrate and this week we had two more. The statistics continue to get better and better for CHAMP Spikes this year," said Harris MacNeill, President of CHAMP. "The top players are continually asking for CHAMP spikes from our tour representatives. That says a lot about the confidence they have in our product. Spikes are what make us the number one brand on tour. This has been documented for years."
