2008 OB Sports Golf Card Las Vegas Goes On Sale August First; Offers preferred benefits at Aliante, Angel Park and The Legacy Golf Clubs
LAS VEGAS, Nevada – The 2008 OB Sports Golf Card goes on sale August 1, 2007. With its purchase, cardholders and their accompanied guests (three per day) save substantially on green fees at three popular local golf facilities – Aliante, Angel Park and The Legacy Golf Clubs. Clark County residents may purchase the OB Sports Golf Card during August’s early bird sale for only $99 and after August 31 for $149. Residents outside of Clark County may purchase the card for $249. Golfers who purchase during the August early birds sale will reap its benefits from August 2007 through December 2008; that’s 17 months of savings.
The main, but not the only, attraction of the golf card is low year-round green fees ranging from $35 to $59 depending on the season, and cardholders are allowed to bring three guests per day who pay the same low green fees. This money-saving frequent-player program is valid at Aliante Golf Club in North Las Vegas, Angel Park Golf Club in Las Vegas and The Legacy Golf Club in Henderson. As part of the Travel Benefits, cardholders receive low rates at several other OB Sports-affiliated golf clubs throughout the western United States (see below for a complete listing).
"The OB Sports Golf Card continues to be one of the most popular frequent-player loyalty programs in Southern Nevada," said Phil Green, President of OB Sports Golf Management. "Each year we look for opportunities to add value and new benefits that reward our most frequent golfers – who oftentimes have been cardholders with OB Sports for several years. We are confident that our loyal cardholders who call our golf clubs home have also become accustomed to our high level of customer services and outstanding golf product offered at these popular Las Vegas golf facilities."
For the past few years, one lucky OB Sports cardholder per year has driven away in a new car, and last year featured a new twist. The names of 40 cardholders were drawn over a five-month period (eight per month from Aug. to Dec.). Then, in January, all 40 finalists gathered at Angel Park Golf Club for a putting contest. The first round narrowed the field to four golfers, and Bart Atwell of Las Vegas edged out the remaining three competitors to take home a brand-new car.
The same format will apply to this year’s putting contest, but the cardholders will putt-off for a brand new Toyota Camry – Motor Trend’s 2007 Car of the Year, compliments of Desert Toyota – deserttoyotalasvegas.com
