News at www.GolfLasVegasNow.com this week includes Las Vegas’ own Natalie Gulbis wins, the LV Paiute Amateur Tees Off and the Walters Cup offers up $30,000

Las Vegas, NV— www.golflasvegasnow.com , Your Link to Las Vegas Golf, features daily Las Vegas golf news, tee time and golf package information, and for the week of August 2, several stories are featured. Natalie Gulbis is Now Hotter On the Course Than She Is Off After First Win

Natalie Gulbis, a Lake Las Vegas Resort resident who lives on the fairways of Reflection Bay Golf Club, has been one of the best players on the LPGA Tour for several years, and also one of the most determined. She’s played on a Solheim Cup team, finished top 10 on the money list, and come very close to winning a major. But until winning the Evian Masters in France, Gulbis hadn’t tasted the victor’s spoils. And now, because of a recent back injury, she is a champion, and winning just might become a common occurrence.

The PGA Tour Marks Its 25th Year in Vegas with a New Look and Wants You

This year marks the 25th for the PGA Tour’s Las Vegas event, the FRYS.com Open benefiting Shriners Hospital for Children. After more than a decade away from the city, the PGA Tour returned in 1983 for the inaugural playing of the Panasonic Las Vegas Pro Celebrity Classic that was won by Fuzzy Zoeller. When it debuted, the total purse of more than $1 million marked the first time a PGA Tour event had been played for that much money. Golf’s biggest names have won here over the last 25 years including Greg Norman (1986), Paul Azinger (1987), Curtis Strange (1985), Davis Love III (1993) and Jim Furyk (95, 98, 99), and, of course, Tiger Woods (1996). And tournament organizers want you to get involved either as a fan or volunteer for the tournament.

Las Vegas Golf’s Walters Cup Combines Poker, Golf and $30,000

High stakes golf and poker are two very popular Las Vegas attractions, and the 2007 Walters Cup Pro-Am brings to life both in an exciting, player-friendly Las Vegas golf event that includes four nights stay at the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino, and one round at each at Las Vegas golf courses Stallion Mountain Country Club, Royal Links Golf Club and Bali Hai Golf Club. A total of $30,000 will be given away through golf and poker payouts, and pros who play in the event will receive an appearance fee and a complimentary stay in Las Vegas. Inaugural Las Vegas Paiute Amateur Offers Fun and Value

Seemingly every week throughout 2007, the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort has

held some kind of golf event or promotion to add to the already ever-present excitement found at the facility that is home to three top Pete Dye Las Vegas golf courses. And debuting on September 2-3 is the first Las Vegas Paiute Amateur Classic that will have three flights and two divisions, and will be played on the fun and challenging Sun Mountain course, the second course created by Dye. Men’s, Women’s and senior divisions will be available, and 25% of the total field will receive prizes. Total price for the event is only $125 for the two rounds and lunch both days, and only $100 for current Las Vegas Paiute cardholders. More info visit lvpaiutegolf.com
