Aldila dominates wood, hybrid shaft counts at WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, Nationwide’s Wichita Open, Women’s British Open
POWAY, Calif. – Aldila doubled up in the win column this weekend with victories at the Reno-Tahoe Open and the Women’s British Open at St. Andrews in Scotland. Using Aldila’s VS Proto and NV in all his woods, the winner of the PGA Tour’s Reno-Tahoe Open captured his third Tour victory by five strokes. Across the Atlantic Ocean the number one women’s player in the world captured her first Major, the Ricoh Women’s British Open, using the VS Proto and NV shafts as well. She won by four strokes and picked up her fourth win of the year.
Aldila dominated the wood and hybrid shaft counts at the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational, the Nationwide Tour’s Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open and at the Women’s British Open in Scotland. Aldila also won the hybrid shaft count at the PGA’s Reno-Tahoe Open with nearly twice the number of hybrids in play as the next leading manufacturer.
The hottest shafts in golf are not only setting the PGA and LPGA Tour a blaze, but are showing up in large numbers in consumers’ bags as well. That’s why Aldila was the leading graphite shaft manufacturer for new drivers, fairway woods and hybrid clubs for 2006, according to the Darrell Survey U.S. National Consumer Survey.
"Aldila remains the leader, innovator and premier manufacturer of high performance graphite golf shafts," said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. "Whether you are a Tour pro, club champ or passionate weekend player, Aldila remains the shaft of choice."
