Doral, Fla., August 7, 2007 â?¦ Doral Golf Resort & Spa, A Marriott Resort, one of the world’s premier golf destinations, today announced that, in collaboration with the Golf Tournament Association of America (GTAA), the property will be hosting a complimentary golf tournament & outings educational seminar, designed to help golf tournament coordinators create more successful golf events.
The seminar, "Take Your Golf Tournament to the Next Level," will be held Friday, August 24, 2007 with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m., followed by a three hour tournament & outings educational seminar from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Immediately following the seminar, a complimentary lunch will be served, followed by a 1:00 p.m. shot-gun start golf outing, where all participants will have the opportunity to play on Doral’s renowned Blue Monster Course, which annually plays host to the PGA TOUR’s WGC-CA Championship.
Phil Immordino, Chairman of the GTAA and Author of "How to Produce a Successful Golf Tournament," will serve as the guest speaker for the seminar. Immordino, who has conducted hundreds of speaking engagements across the country and has helped many organizations enhance their events, will be addressing every aspect of producing a successful golf tournament from negotiating the best golf course deal, to training and motivating volunteers, selling sponsorships, attracting golfers, budgeting, time lines, new games and contests and much more.
