18th Win for Nickent after 3 years on the PGA Tours
What’s the easiest way to improve your rank in the FedEx Cup standings? You put a Nickent hybrid in play. That’s exactly what the winner of the Reno-Tahoe Open did to catapult himself from 140 th to 79th in the all-important playoff race.
The ultimate goal is to be among the Top 144 Points Leaders following the Wyndham Championship August 19 th.
Twelve players in the Top 144 have trusted Nickent hybrids to help secure their place on the list, including the #3, #31, #37, #38 and
#39 ranked players. Only two of those players are endorsed by Nickent, staff players Jeff Quinney and Ryan Armour.
The win was Nickent’s second win on the PGA Tour this year, the first being a major championship victory at the US Open. It is the 18 th victory for Nickent on the PGA Tours over the last 3 seasons, 5 of which have come on the exclusive PGA Tour.
The winner of the Reno-Tahoe Open put a 3DX DC Ironwood in his bag for the first time this week, helping him to his third title on the PGA Tour. He ran away from the field for the first wire-to-wire victory of the PGA Tour season and a commanding five-stroke victory.
The win earned the player a spot in the PGA Championship for the 10th year in a row, where he’s made the cut seven of the past nine times.
The cuts were not coming as easily this year and the player made a few changes in recent weeks to try and help bring his game back, including the addition of his 20-degree 3DX DC with an Aldila VS Proto shaft.
"Different ball, different shoes, different irons, different iron shafts, different rescue club, said the champion. "Other than that, no changes. It was a tough two years but I’m glad to be back in the winner’s circle."
