Tournament to be held at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort
ORLANDO, Fla., (August 13, 2007) – Golfweek magazine, the publication preferred by serious golfers, is now accepting reservations for Golfweek’s Surf & Turf Pro-Am at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort on October 18 – 21.
Registrants will experience three days of Surf & Turf, while staying in a three-bedroom townhouse at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. Festivities will begin with a round of golf at Baytowne Golf Club, followed by a day of deep-sea fishing aboard a charter boat and finished off with a round of golf at Raven Golf Club.
Teams will consist of a foursome, with one-golf professional and three amateurs. The tournament is open to all PGA Class-A Professionals in good standing (except A-3’s) and registered apprentices.
There is no charge for golf professionals and all amateurs will be $1,495, which includes:
â?¢ Rounds of golf at The Raven Golf Club and Baytowne Golf Club
â?¢ Full day of fishing on a private charter (four people/boat)
â?¢ Accommodations in a 3-bedroom townhouse at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort
â?¢ Opening reception and fish fry
â?¢ $5,000 prize fund for events based on a full field of 10 teams
â?¢ Participants are qualified to participate in The Fishing Rodeo in Destin throughout the month of October, with contests and prizes worth over $100,000
