POWAY, Calif. – With 107 woods and 37 hybrid shafts in play at the 89th PGA Championship in Tulsa, Okla., Aldila secured their fourth consecutive wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer count at a Major Championship in 2007 making it a clean sweep of golf’s Grand Slam.

"The fact that the best players in the world have come to count on Aldila as their shaft of choice when competing at the highest level is an honor and the ultimate representation of the outstanding performance of our shafts," said Mike Rossi, Aldila’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "In addition to being the most popular wood and hybrid shafts, players using Aldila shafts also won three of the four Majors in 2007 – The Masters, The U.S. Open and The Open Championship. We have set a standard of quality, consistency and performance unmatched by any other composite shaft manufacturer in the world. Aldila is at the forefront of the shaft industry delivering ground-breaking technology to the players, providing them with outstanding performance and consistency."

Aldila also was the wood and hybrid shaft count manufacturer winner at the Northeast Pennsylvania Classic in Moosic, Pa., on the Nationwide Tour. The hottest shafts in golf had 52 more wood shafts in play and nearly double the amount of hybrid shafts in play as the next closest shaft manufacturer.

The popularity of Aldila continues to grow both on and off the Tour. According to the Darrell Survey U.S. National Consumer Survey, Aldila was the leading graphite shaft manufacturer for new drivers, fairway woods and hybrid clubs for 2006.

Aldila isn’t just a golf company; it’s a materials-science think tank that’s constantly researching the potential of physical and chemical compounds. They discover them first so you don’t have to wait until tomorrow to improve your game.
