New m1 Putter Played in SeeMore’s First European Tour Win
(Franklin, TN – August 20, 2007) The leading Finnish professional won the Scandinavian Masters in dramatic fashion, using a new SeeMore m1 putter to birdie the 18th hole and secure his victory. This championship marks a number of remarkable 2007 accomplishments for the revitalized SeeMore brand including its second Masters’ championship, first European Tour win, first m1 victory and fifth tour victory.
The Masters champion needed only 24 putts in his final round including his dramatic 10-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole to seal the tournament. His closing round of 68 earned him a two-stroke victory at six under par. The Scandinavian Masters victory places the winner 27th on the European Order of Merit and represents his second 2007 win..
SeeMore putters have now been used to win the Scandinavian Masters, The Masters, the AT&T Classic and twice on the Duramed Futures Tour in 2007.
"This is a major victory for SeeMore by one of Europe’s leading players on one of the world’s leading tours and at one of it most prestigious championships," says Jim Grundberg, Managing Director of SeeMore Golf. "We heartily congratulate this brilliant player and our great team in Europe for this thrilling victory. This first SeeMore European Tour win and our fifth Tour victory further validates our proprietary and proven Riflescope Technology alignment system."
The SeeMore brand was re-launched with the new mSeries of putters in 2007 and immediately gained worldwide prominence again as Zach Johnson used a SeeMore FGP to win the 2007 Masters and the AT&T Classic. SeeMore also is the putter of choice for the tour’s best putter among the top 50 on the money list in 2006, Vaughn Taylor. A tour rookie has won twice in five starts on the Duramed Futures Tour using a SeeMore m2 putter.
The m1 is part of the new SeeMore mSeries which comes in four distinctive, finely crafted models to appeal to different player’s putting preferences and styles. The m1 is a classic heel/toe blade with center shaft; the m2 is a classic heel/toe blade with heel shaft, the m3 is a classic mallet with center shaft and the mFGP is a milled version of the original FGP putter.
The new SeeMore series of putters combine the beauty, precision, accuracy, and feel of 100% milled heads with the original proprietary and proven alignment benefits of the SeeMore RifleScopeâ?¢ Technology (RST) system. The patented RST alignment system technology allows a golfer to set up the putter perfectly each and every time in relation to the intended target line. This is accomplished by lining up the black bottom portion of the shaft between two white lines and covering a signature red dot on the heel of the top line. The process resembles locking radar onto a target.
SeeMore became recognized when Payne Stewart won the 1999 U.S. Open playing a SeeMore putter. Stewart one-putted the last three holes to win the championship by one stroke. He sunk what’s considered to be the longest putt in Open history on the 18th hole to win the tournament. Stewart also won the overall putting title for fewest putts per round over the entire 1999 season.
Other noted SeeMore Tour accomplishments include Johnson setting the all-time Nationwide Tour putting record of 1.699 putts per GIR over an entire season using a SeeMore putter, finishing first in putting, wins and on the overall money list. He is one of only two players ever on any tour to finish a season under 1.7 putts per GIR. Johnson and Taylor were the two youngest players to qualify for the 2006 Ryder Cup.
Johnson, Taylor and the Tour rookie are students of accomplished putting coach and SeeMore consultant Pat O’Brien. O’Brien’s putting philosophy is based on his study of Stewart during his remarkable 1999 using a SeeMore putter.
