An extensive Shaft Zone Frequency Profile chart is now available for review.
Duluth, GA. (August 22, 2007) – Versus Golf (www.versusgolf.com) would like to announce their newest addition to the website. A shaft zone frequency chart has been created to offer club-makers and golfers a unique resource to compare shaft performance, feel and playability. Versus Golf has pledged to bring industry technology, design and resources to the inquiring golfer and this is the latest addition to that commitment.
The shaft zone frequency chart found within the technology section of versusgolf.com was completed by Henry Fink, owner and operator of Tee to Green Custom Clubs, Wisconsin. Henry has been a Versus Golf supporter since day one and has built a solid reputation within the industry. Over the years Henry has completed extensive testing of many of the leading shafts on the market and has built a precise database of those shaft characteristics. Henry explained, "Zone frequency establishes a flex profile which sheds more light on the characteristics of a shaft’s stiffness along the length. This obviously produces more in depth information than just butt frequency." Henry added, "By matching zone frequencies, golfers have more insight into why they like a certain shaft, this helps narrow the field when selecting a new shaft." Starting at 11" (Tip of the shaft) and going up in 5" increments while testing the CPM of the shaft at each zone you get a profile of that shaft. You will find none of the shafts listed on the profile share the exact same blend of stiffness. But, you can easily see which shafts have the same performance at their relative zones and what to expect in performance compared to a chosen variable shaft.
"The data from the zone frequency chart will give club fitters and golfers a solid reference point for their next fitting session or purchase. Henry’s shaft profiles have been immensely helpful in matching the precise shaft for the golfer. In using our patent-pending SX.1 (shaft xchange) driver along with the shaft profiling system, club-fitters can easily match the correct shaft to their clients swing, quickly and accurately. We have had phenomenal results when utilizing the shaft zone profiling," states Stephen Smoot of Versus Golf.
