Coral Ridge Country Club Enhances Member Experience With Leading GPS Technology
Vancouver, Canada – August 23, 2007 GPS Industries Inc. (GPSI) (OTC BB: GPSN), the world’s leading provider of WiFi-enabled GPS management systems and targeted on-course media is pleased to announce the installation of the company’s Inforemerï?¢ Management System at prestigious Coral Ridge Country Club in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Coral Ridge Country Club was founded by legendary architect, Robert Trent Jones, and his wife, Ione. The land on which the club now stands was originally developed as the Florananda Golf Course in the 1920’s but construction was halted when the stock market crashed in 1929. In 1954 Mr. Jones saw an opportunity in the unfinished course and devised a plan to mould the land to his intricate specifications.
The club officially opened, with Mr. Jones as President, in February of 1955 and was centered on his vision of a true, traditional private club with a challenging, championship course. Early in the 1960’s Jones realized the full scope of that vision with the construction of the clubhouse, tennis courts, and an Olympic-size swimming pool.
Managing Partner and GM, JJ Sehlke, chose to outfit the Club’s cart fleet with the award-winning Inforemerï?¢-HD displays to further enhance the playing experience and improve pace-of-play at Fort Lauderdale’s leading private facility. The 10.4-inch cart-mount displays are widely regarded as the most vivid in the industry and create the most engaging playing experience for the golfer. The system’s array of integrated management applications also optimize operational efficiencies for the staff.
"Like everything at Coral Ridge, the member experience is of primary importance" said GPSI Regional Sales Manager, Jim Maitland. "The Club’s historic significance is matched by Management’s forward-thinking philosophy. It’s a remarkable combination that will continue to ensure the club’s prestigious status."
