ORLANDO, FLORIDA – August 23, 2007 – Marriott Golf, one of the world’s premier golf operators and the world’s largest resort golf management company, today announced that Dominik Naughton has been named Director of Golf at Mirage City Golf Club, an 18-hole championship course located at the JW Marriott Hotel Cairo, in Egypt.
In this position, Naughton will be responsible for managing all golf operations for the club, including golf & grounds maintenance, food & beverage operations, and sales & marketing initiatives.
Naughton, who brings with him close to 20 years of experience in the golf industry, most recently served as Director of Golf at Marriott’s Worsley Park Hotel & Country Club, an 18-hole facility in Worsley Park, Manchester, which is widely acclaimed as one of the finest inland courses in the North of England.
A Class "AA" PGA Golf Professional, Naughton is also a Level III PGA Coach and an active supporter of the NSPCC, an organization dedicated to keeping children safe in sports.
Since its opening in November 1999, Mirage City Golf Club has become known as one of the finest golf facilities in Egypt, due to both the quality of the 18-hole championship course and the service excellence that the Marriott name guarantees.
