Orlando, Fla., (Aug. 31, 2007) – TurfNet, a mainstay for superintendents worldwide since 1995, has undergone an expansion and relaunch as TurfNet Media Network.
In addition to TurfNet.com and the TurfNet TV video channel, TurfNet Media Network also includes:
â?¢ TurfNet, the Magazine – formerly Golfweek’s SuperNEWS
â?¢ TurfNet Today – a family of e-newsletters
â?¢ TurfNet, the Newsletter – a member-only monthly publication
â?¢ TurfNet Events – a series of interactive seminars focusing on greens, bunkers and water management
Golfweek’s SuperNEWS underwent a name change to TurfNet, the Magazine with it’s July issue, which ranked North American turf management colleges, and will now be published monthly.
"Our magazine has consistently ranked as the most-valued independent trade publication among superintendents," said Dale Gardner, publisher. "This will not change with TurfNet, the Magazine. We’ll continue to be the only magazine with a staff of veteran daily newspaper reporters uniquely capable of reporting and writing news and of delivering original content. Our focus will continue to be news, but we will endeavor to be more analytical, helping superintendents understand what the news means to them."
"The changes bring everything — including an award-winning monthly newsletter edited by Peter McCormick, and a series of educational events — under one brand, TurfNet, the strongest in the marketplace," said Rance Crain, chairman of Turnstile Publishing Co., which owns the TurfNet Media Network. "We believe we’re ideally positioned to serve our readers and advertisers in powerful ways that no one else offers."
