Wins on PGA, LPGA and European PGA Tours
Marlborough, MA-September 4, 2007- In a season filled with plenty of drama and intensity, CHAMP Spikes had yet another fantastic finish with wins on three different tours.
On the PGA Tour, at the Deutsche Bank Championship in Norton, Massachusetts, it was all CHAMP for the second year in a row. Not only was the champion wearing CHAMP’s Cermecâ?¢ spike, but the top seven finishers also relied on CHAMP spikes, with CHAMP’s Scorpion Stingerâ?¢ spike being worn by the majority. This year’s winner took over the top spot in the FedExCup standings by out-dueling the number one ranked golfer in the world. The champion pulled out to a big lead early in the final round and held on to win by two strokes.
On the LPGA Tour, at the State Farm Classic, the tried and true Scorpionâ?¢ spike was victorious as it gave the champion her eighth title. CHAMP spikes dominated the leader board in Springfield with nine out of the top eleven finishers trusting their traction needs to CHAMP. Showing the diversity of products made by CHAMP, the Scorpion, Scorpion Stinger, and Pro Stingerâ?¢ were all represented in a field where an astonishing 83 out of 144 wore CHAMP.
The European PGA winner, who also wore CHAMP Stinger spikes, birdied the second play-off hole to give the Scottish public the victory they wanted from their native golfer in the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles. Ten out of the top thirteen finishers wore CHAMP Spikes.
