NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (September 4, 2007) – IPAC, The International Professional Association of ClubFitters (IPAC), has activated its Web site: www.ipacgolf.com. The site provides general information to golfers to help guide them in locating bona fide Professional Fitters. The site also features a members-only section.
"Much forethought has gone into the planning of the IPAC Web site," said Jennifer King, president of KZG, a Founding Sponsor of IPAC. "As the organization grows and gains in worldwide membership and renown, new information will be made available to guide golfers to certified IPAC members in their areas and to keep members abreast of Association activities."
IPAC, a not-for-profit organization which was formed earlier this year, has worthy goals for improving the ClubFitting profession. The Association has set out to: 1) raise the bar for the clubfitting profession by setting guidelines for skill and integrity; 2) educate the public on what to expect and where to go for a first-rate club fitting; 3) educate and mentor new men and women who wish to join the profession; and 4) establish a program for continuing education to maintain the highest standards for the profession.
For the public, the IPAC Web site contains a wealth of helpful information to guide golfers as to what to expect in a bona fide fitting and where to go to get a first-rate fitting from a Professional Fitter. Professional Fitters spend years studying and learning their craft. They know clubhead and shaft design, they understand the goals of the golfer and they can analyze data from launch monitors and swing analyzers. True Professionals actually can improve any golfer’s game. Those who have met a specified level of excellence have been admitted into IPAC by their peers of equal skills.
For members, the IPAC site offers communication with other members, career postings and information on resources, research and the annual IPAC Expo. Each IPAC member has a page on the Web site listing his facility and contact information, biography, professional credentials and philosophy.
IPAC recognizes and appreciates the aid and support of its Founding Sponsors, including About Golf, Balance-Certified Golf, Explanar, Fit Chip, Henry Griffitts, JR Mats, KZG, NovaTech Shafts, SK Fiber and Zelocity. The IPAC Web site was designed by Cybergolf, a Friend of IPAC.
