Sport Graphics to serve as official ticket sales agent
SUGAR GROVE, Ill., Aug. 28, 2007 – Tickets for the 2009 Solheim Cup, the most prestigious team event in women’s professional golf, are available starting today with a special offer valid until Dec. 31, 2007. The number of tickets for the 2009 event, Aug. 17-23, at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill., will be limited to maximize spectators’ viewing enjoyment. Fans from around the world can purchase tickets at www.solheimcup.com or by phone at 866-848-4639.
Fans who purchase tickets prior to Dec. 31, 2007, will receive a $10 merchandise gift card redeemable at the event and a color photograph of the 2007 U.S. and European Solheim Cup teams.
"The greater Chicago area is a perfect venue for this event and we couldn’t be more excited to make tickets available to fans in the United States and abroad," said Kelly Hyne, 2009 Solheim Cup executive director. "Rich Harvest Farms provides a fantastic layout for fans and corporate guests to experience the event in a unique setting."
The layout of Rich Harvest Farms will be able to accommodate 40,000 fans per day, which is more than a 30 percent increase from 2005 that had a maximum capacity of 30,000 fans per day.
Sport Graphics is the official ticket sales agent for The 2009 Solheim Cup. The Sport Graphics Customer Call Center is handling all call-in orders and hosting on-line order transactions as well as fulfillment and distribution. Sport Graphics also served in this capacity for the 2005 event.
Two ticket types are available for the 2009 Solheim Cup: the weekly grounds ticket and the PING Pavilion ticket. The grounds ticket is $125 for the week and includes admittance to the grounds of Rich Harvest Farms with access to various concession stands and bleachers. The PING Pavilion ticket is $350 for the week and allows access to the grounds and all facilities set up for spectators, as well as admittance to the PING Pavilion hospitality tent located on the 17th green. It also features VIP parking all week adjacent to the tent and a commemorative Official Magazine. The PING Pavilion provides a climate-controlled environment with a patio, seating areas, televisions, restrooms and a complete pay-as-you-go menu; a maximum of 2,000 PING Pavilion tickets will be sold.
All tickets are valid Tuesday through Sunday and include the three practice days, the spirited Opening Ceremony on Thursday afternoon, the three official days of competition and the Closing Ceremony on Sunday afternoon. As with all Ladies Professional Golf Associations (LPGA) events, children 15 years of age and younger are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a ticketed adult.
Fans can also purchase tickets to Solheim After Sundown, a community event to be held on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, to kick off The Solheim Cup week activities. Individual tickets are $100 or a table of ten (10) for $1,000. Your ticket includes admittance to the grounds on Tuesday, parking for the day, entrance into the PING Pavilion all day and at night for the evening entertainment by a to-be-announced national artist, dinner and silent auction.
