‘The Hottest Shafts In Golf’ sweep hybrid count on PGA, Nationwide and LPGA Tours
POWAY, Calif. – Aldila heads into the final event of the inaugural FedEx Cup playoffs, the Tour Championship, as the woods and hybrids shaft manufacture of choice. "The Hottest Shafts in Golf" won the woods and hybrids counts at the Deutsche Bank Championship after the elite field of the world’s top players had been trimmed from 144 to 120. Aldila followed it up with another win at the BMW Championship at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club after the field had dropped to the top-70 players.
Aldila’s shafts also heated up the Nationwide Tour as they walked away with both the woods and hybrids shaft count titles at the Utah EnergySolutions Championship at the Willow Creek Country Club.
For 2007, Aldila has dominated the hybrid shaft count on every Tour almost every week. This week was no different as they swept the hybrid shaft count on all Tours with victories on the PGA, Nationwide, Champions and LPGA Tours.
The use of Aldila shafts is not only favored by the Tour players, but they also have a tremendous consumer following. For the second consecutive year, Aldila was the leading shaft in use for both new clubs and total use in the driver category. They were the leading choice for consumers in fairway woods outpacing the second place manufacturer by more than a 2-to-1 margin in usage. In hybrid clubs, the fastest growing segment of the industry, Aldila shafts were three times more popular than the second place manufacturer.
