Annual Golf Outing Exceeds Last Year’s Donation; 100% Of All Proceeds Donated To The Phoenix Children’s Hospital
Phoenix, AZ – September 17, 2007â?¦JW Marriott Wildfire Golf Club, one of the premier golf resort destinations in Arizona, today announced that $66,644 was raised at the 6th annual Children’s Miracle Network Charity Golf Tournament held on Monday, August 20, 2007. All of the proceeds from this year’s tournament were donated to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
The 2007 event marked the 6th consecutive year that Wildfire Golf Club hosted this charitable event. With an outstanding turn-out of 256 participants, golfers teed up on two of the Valley’s most beautiful golf courses, the Palmer Signature Course and the Faldo Championship Course, while supporting a very worthy cause.
This year’s first place winners for the Palmer Course were Terri Oeullette, Ray Oeullette and Ted Torres. For the Faldo Course, first place winners were Pete Ophardt, Randi Picard, Keith House and John Huguelet. All winners received a colorful, framed picture of one of the kids from the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Additional activities included raffles and a silent auction, featuring items donated by local vendors.
"For the sixth consecutive year, the Children’s Miracle Network Charity Golf Tournament has been a tremendous success," said John Wright, Director of Golf, Wildfire Golf Club. "We are thrilled to see members of our local community continually support this worthy cause, and raise even more money each year."
