Osprey Meadows at Tamarack Resort Associate Qualifies for PGA Apprenticeship

Central Idaho Resort Boasts Award-Winning Robert Trent Jones Jr. Design, IMBA-Approved Mountain Biking, Whitewater Rafting, Nordic, Downhill Skiing and Much More

TAMARACK, Idaho – Tamarack Resort – home to Osprey Meadows, the Robert Trent Jones Jr. signature design named America’s best-new upscale resort course by Golf Digest Magazine – today announces golf shop assistant Dustin Simons has passed his Playing Ability Test in qualification for apprenticeship with the Professional Golf Association of America. Simons played in a 36-hole tournament at the University of Idaho course in Moscow, Idaho Sept. 5 to qualify.

The PGA of America is comprised of 28,000 men and women golf professionals who are the recognized experts in growing, teaching and managing the game of golf.

"We’re extremely proud of all the dedication Dustin has displayed and the hard work he’s put in to qualify for this apprenticeship," says Osprey Meadows Director of Golf Tom Altmann. Not only is Simons an exceptional golfer and adept at customer service, but he’s also an alpine race coach at the Tamarack Sports & Education Foundation. Simons will continue to pursue his golf and ski coaching career at Tamarack Resort and Osprey Meadows Golf Course.

Osprey Meadows, a par 72, 7,300 yard gem that weaves through mountains, meadows and lakes, has been recognized as one of the finest new golf courses in the United States.
