Feel Golf announced today its new Reverse Taper called the – "Pro Releaseâ?¢" Performance grip and modeled after their very popular – Full Releaseâ?¢ grip has began shipping to customers! The new grip in its first 30 days has unexpectedly sold very well. We are limited on product availability until our next shipment arrives in late October. This new design, enhanced by Tour player input, has less taper and overall bottom hand size, then the Full Release grip. Tour Players have been testing the Pro Release prototype throughout Europe and the US during the 2006 & 2007 Tour seasons. Hence the name, "Pro Release"
Lee Miller Feel Golf’s CEO said, "We are seeing a very favorable reaction from European and US Tour players who assisted in the final design and are interested in using for their upcoming 2008 season. The Tour Players originally came to us and said they wanted a few changes to the shaft end of the grip. They love the smaller diameter at the top of our Full Releaseâ?¢ grip – that’s a good design to fit one’s fingers, but on the shaft end, they wanted it also thinner as well. This way, they feel they can better control challenging shots on various courses and can provide the flexibility to build up the shaft end size with grip tape to match their required shot making for that particular course layout."
Made of premium rubber material in the X-Line style, the patented "Pro Release" â?¢ Performance grip delivers outstanding feel with a more natural finger grip that contributes to a more powerful but yet, controlled release through impact. This helps prevent hand blocks that hamper the better players resulting in an errant shot. "Blocked hands at impact is one of the worse things that can happen to a Tour player," said Miller. "Just look at a TV swing analysis of a Tour Player on any given weekend – the hand block or even a slight loss or slippage of the grip is often the cause for that occasional errant shot or even missing the cut.
Using the "Pro Release"â?¢ Performance grip allows your hands to move easily through impact for improved distance, better control and is simply, more forgiving. This is the feedback we have been receiving from the Tour Players."
The new Pro Releaseâ?¢ Performance grip is designed to provide better performance for all golfers, not just Tour players. Also, with the new grip’s smaller diameter, players with smaller hands, such as ladies and juniors, will also benefit from the Pro Release design. The Pro Releaseâ?¢ Performance grip was released on September 1, 2007.
Recently, Feel Golf’s Full Releaseâ?¢ Performance grip has been named the Official Grip of the United States Schools of Golf (USSOG). The USSOG represents over 60 premier teaching facilities throughout the country. "We believe Feel Golf’s Reverse Taper – Full Releaseâ?¢ Performance Grip provides golfers of all skill levels a better way to hold the golf club and promotes better swing characteristics improving shot making – whether off the tee or approaching the green, " stated Mitchell A Crum, President of the USSOG.
