A weeklong schedule of events is planned for October 17-21 on the John Sanford design.
OCALA, FL (September 20, 2007) – Not since the creation of the vaunted and exclusive Jupiter Hills Club in 1970 has a dramatic new private golf club created so much anticipation in Florida. Juliette Falls Golf & Spa Community announces it will open for play on October 21st. A week long schedule of events is planned for October 17-21 leading up to the official opening.
The opening festivities begin on Wednesday the 17th and continue through the week until Sunday, the 21st – the first official day open to the public. Friday the 19th will be the official ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m., which members of the media are invited to attend.
"Golfers and members who will begin to visit Juliette Falls in October will find one of the most unique courses in Florida", said Tom Cioffi, Director of Operations for Juliette Falls Golf & Spa. "Unlike most courses in Florida, which tend to be flat and similar, Juliette Falls provides memorable holes with their own personality and notable features including the four unique waterfall features with magnificent rock work."
"Combining these unique features and memorable holes with the latest G angle bunker sand, real coquina in the waste areas, landscaping that is primarily native Florida vegetation, and premier Tiff Dwarf Bermuda grasses used on the tees and greens will make Juliette Falls a true one of a kind experience for our members and guests", continued Cioffi.
Juliette Falls, designed by Florida-based golf course architect John Sanford, meanders over a portion of the 546 acres of wildly dramatic land in the Ocala countryside. It is the centerpiece of the private golf and spa community. Property owners will enjoy exclusive membership to the 7,239-yard, par-72 golf club: a rolling parkland design highlighted by four waterfalls, pine, oak, and palmetto forests, and flowers creating a tapestry of visual richness.
Homes at Juliette Falls Golf & Spa Community will range in price from $599,000 to over $3-million, including lots, interior furnishings, pool and spa package, mature landscaping and irrigation. In addition an exclusive golf membership will be offered to homeowners. The course will allow limited public access during the membership build-out period.
Ocala, Florida, in Marion County, is bisected by Interstate 75, Route 301 and U.S. Highway 441; about 60-minute’s-drive north of Orlando. Marion County is very equestrian, the area features rolling terrain similar to that of Kentucky bluegrass horse country. Also offered in Juliette Falls is a 136-acre Nature Preserve and Wildlife Conservation area with five miles of groomed trails for walking, jogging and biking.
Members of the media are invited to visit Juliette Falls anytime based on availability. Bring a guest and enjoy one of Florida’s top golfing experiences. Please contact Kevin Frisch at Resort & Golf Marketing to make your reservations.
