DENVER, September 24, 2007 – In his first tournament on the Champions Tour, Mark Wiebe used a YES! Natalie long putter to win the SAS Championship in Cary, N. C. Wiebe, who lead wire-to-wire, set a tournament record of 18-under par at Prestonwood Country Club and took home the $300,000 first-place check.
"It is great to see Mark win right out of the box on the Champions Tour," said Francis Ricci, President & CEO YES! Golf. "He has been using our C-Groove Natalie long putter for the past two years and really likes the roll he gets off the putterface. We have seen an increase in demand for belly and long putters over the last six months and we plan on expanding our offerings in this area in the upcoming months."
The Natalie putter is a center shafted, face balanced mallet putter. The large 304 soft stainless steel head is designed for maximum forgiveness and features a long sight line for easy alignment. The putter currently is available in both right and left handed in regular length and belly and long in right hand only. In January 2008, YES! will offer the Natalie belly and long in left handed models and also the popular Victoria II in belly and long right handed models.
Wiebe’s C-Groove putter was hot on the greens all week. He lead the field in birdies with 20, he was third in putts per greens in regulation and fourth in number of putts per round. His victory on Sunday qualifies him for the last major of the season, The Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship in two weeks.
On the LPGA Tour, YES! Golf averages 35 players a week using the C-Groove putter. YES! announced today the top five winners of the second segment of the YES! Golf Player’s Pool. The winners are Amy Hung, Rachel Hetherington, Alena Sharp, Becky Morgan and Mikaela Parmlid.
