2008 Series aligned with Golf Tips Magazine to offer complete media plan categorized by features in golf equipment, lessons and golf travel.
DENVER, CO—September 6, 2007—Golf Life, the nation’s leading independent golf lifestyle television series, has recently completed the 2007 television series. The national television series featured tips from U.S. Open winner, Jim Furyk, senior sensation Fred Funk and two-time U.S. Open winner Andy North. Other features included a tour of Doral’s Blue Monster with acclaimed instructor Jim Mclean, a highlight of Ben Crenshaw’s golf architecture and a profile of Bel Air Country Club’s "Little Pro," Eddie Merrins.
The producers would like to thank supporting sponsors like Super Stroke Grip Solutions and Red Eye Golf for their role in bringing this unique programming to a national audience. In that vein, Golf Life Television congratulates Super Stroke on their recent placement in major retail chains. "It was great to see one of our primary sponsors go from a direct response-based product to a brand available in leading golf stores. We believe this reinforces our goal to build brands through comprehensive electronic media, and it shows that Golf Life works for brands looking to grow awareness."
The future is bright, as Golf Life Television will once again be the national golf series on Fox Sports Net (FSN) during the 2008 season. As such, Golf Life will reach 110 million homes in the United States with a total reach of more than 325 million duplicated households for each episode. In 2007, Golf Life was able to generate more than 8 million viewers on FSN. In addition, Golf Life’s online video channel (http://www.golflife.net) reached an additional 200,000 minutes of viewership. This online golf audience was generated due to the Golf Life online video player being featured on many golf-related sites, including Golf Tips Magazine (http://www.golftipsmag.com).
"The Golf Life series was firmly established as the most widely distributed golf lifestyle series in 2007," said Michael Billingsley, executive producer of the series. "Now we look to target our content in the 2008 golf season through planning of integrated features with our partner publication Golf Tips Magazine and golftipsmag.com."
Golf Life producers are working with Golf Tips Magazine to create features within the 2008 television series that are in line with articles being planned for Golf Tips issues. The two media groups have combined effort to provide the first completely integrated media campaign for equipment manufacturers and other groups looking to target their audience.
The first episode of Golf Life, scheduled to begin the last week of March 2008, will feature video on new irons from leading golf manufacturers, along with video tips and advice on iron play. This content will follow editorial information pulled from the 2008 Golf Tips Buyer’s Guide and articles appearing inside the April issue of Golf Tips Magazine. Articles and video will also appear online at golftipsmag.com, golflifetv.com and across the Web through distribution of the online video player. Each month, equipment categories and tips based on improving play in each part of the game will be aligned across print, television and Web.
