‘Par and Beyond Secret To Better Golf’ eliminates negative – accentuates positive
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Negative thoughts have often been the downfall of golfers from tour pros to the high handicappers. Now there’s a way to clear your mind of that triple bogey before you hit your next tee shot.
In his landmark DVD "Par and Beyond Secrets To Better Golf," Dr. Jerry V. Teplitz explains how to avoid having a bad hole breed others and keep you on the positive road to good golf.
"These exercises involve what are called Hook Ups and Positive Points," Teplitz said. "In just two minutes you can eliminate the effects of a negative experience."
The exercises Teplitz teaches are a by-product of the Brain Gym® activities, an innovative approach to learning through the science of movement developed by educators Drs. Paul Dennison and Gail Dennison, for children and adults who had been identified as ‘learning disabled.’ The techniques are now taught to people of all abilities including Olympic athletes."
Hook Ups
The two-part Hook Ups exercise can be done without anyone in your group realizing what you are doing. In the first part clasp your hands together normally. The hand with the thumb on top is your primary-side. Simply cross the primary-side hand over the top of the other hand and intertwine your fingers as you hold the club in front of you with the club head on the ground. Cross the primary-side foot across the other ankle. With your tongue touching the roof of your mouth just behind your teeth, keep breathing and intensely thinking about the last hole in a negative way. Hold this position for 30 seconds.
For the second part, uncross your feet and re-position your hands so your finger tips are touching. Keep the tongue up and keep breathing. Hold this position for 30 seconds.
"Normally, the golfer’s thoughts are changing at this point as it becomes difficult to focus on the triple bogey or whatever your negative experience was," he said.
If there is still lingering negativity move on to the Positive Points exercise.
Positive Points
Take one hand and lightly place it over your forehead making sure to cover the area where the front of the head begins to curve. Do this while still holding your tongue against the roof of your mouth and breathing. Don’t forget to continue to focus on the negative (if it’s still there).
"By the time you address your next the ball for your next drive, you won’t be able to think in the negative at all," he said. "You will have eliminated it from your system and it won’t have a negative effect on the rest of your round."
Many have already purchased Teplitz’s "Secrets to Better Golf" and can’t wait to tell everyone about the successes they’ve experienced using the techniques in the DVD.
"Thanks for creating a DVD program like this," wrote Dr. Fred Feldstein from New York. "I think it is priceless for anyone who is interested in improving their enjoyment of playing golf and other sports, as well as their statistics!"
Hook Ups and Positive Points are just two of the 15 secrets revealed in "Par and Beyond: Secrets to Better Golf." To order your copy or find out more about the DVD, visit www.golf-help.info or call 1-800 77-RELAX.
