BEAVERCREEK, Ohio, Oct. 1, 2007 – KemperSports today announced Paul Malonson as general manager of Country Club of North, a tournament-tested, 18-hole golf club, situated just minutes from downtown Dayton in Ohio’s scenic Miami Valley. In his new assignment, Malonson will oversee facility operations of the private club, which serves as home to a championship-caliber Jack Nicklaus Signature Course.
Malonson, who hails from Orlando, possesses a strong background in private golf club operations and management. He served the last five years as general manager at Windermere Country Club, a premier private club just outside of Orlando. Prior to that, Malonson held the general manager post at Sweetwater Country Club and Kissimmee Oaks Golf Club, a tandem of championship-caliber golf destinations located in the Greater Orlando area.
"Paul is the latest addition to a growing team that will enhance the member experience at Country Club of the North," said KemperSports President and COO Steve Skinner. "His experience with fine private clubs will assist the team greatly as we look to strengthen Country Club of the North’s position as the marquee club in the Dayton area."
Malonson currently resides in Dayton with his wife, Lara, and their two children, Vincent and Karalyn.
Spread across 400 rolling acres in Beavercreek, a suburb of Dayton, Country Club of the North is comprised of hundreds of custom homes and a collection of first-class amenities. At the heart of the private residential community lies a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, designed to blend harmoniously with its sweeping, unspoiled landscape. The par 72, Nicklaus’ first design in the Dayton area, accentuates the character of its natural surroundings, including the Little Miami River, mature trees, indigenous vegetation and wandering brooks. From 1994-2001, Country Club of the North showcased its tournament-capable layout as a regular stop on the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour.
In addition to 18 holes of championship golf, Country Club of the North features an extensive clubhouse, complete with a full-service golf shop, men’s and women’s locker rooms, casual and fine dining establishments, and banquet and meeting facilities. A state-of-the-art fitness center, swimming pools and clay tennis courts are also accessible to members.
