#1 Brand on Tour has Another Big Weekend
Marlborough, MA-October 3, 2007- CHAMP Spikes, the number one brand on tour, announces that the winner of the Viking Classic wore CHAMP Scorpion Stingerâ?¢ Spikes. The victory, the fourth of his career, rocketed the winner up 30 spots to number 67 in the World Golf Rankings.
The CHAMP Stinger has won more tour events this year than any other spike. The winner also wore CHAMP’s patented Q-Lok® receptacle at the Viking Classic. Shoes using the Q-Lok require only a quarter turn to take old spikes out and another quarter turn to put new spikes in, making Q-Lok the easiest spike system available.
The winner of the inaugural Navistar Classic relied on CHAMP’s Stinger spike as she sank a 25-foot birdie putt on the 17th hole to grab the lead on the final day. A par on 18 sealed the deal for the winner over her two closest competitors, who were also wearing Stinger spikes, showing that CHAMP is the number one brand on the LPGA. The victory brought the top finisher a poignant return to the winner’s circle, her first time back since her sophomore season in 1999.
