POWAY, Calif. – The winner of the Mark Christopher Charity Classic at the Empire Lakes Golf Club in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. posted the first playoff victory of his career using Aldila’s VS Proto shaft in his driver. The win moves him into fourth place on the Nationwide Tour money list.
Aldila was also the winner of the wood shaft and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at Empire Lakes.
On the PGA Tour, Aldila won the hybrid shaft manufacturer count at the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio, Texas.
The VS Protoâ?¢ shaft incorporates Aldila’s innovative new Next Generation Micro Laminate Technologyâ?¢ featuring Carbon Nano-tubes, combined with Aldila’s proprietary A65 Performance Resin System, using advanced high modulus graphite fibers, all synthesized into Micro Laminate Technologyâ?¢. The VS Protoâ?¢ offers unparalleled performance, consistency and feel – the straightest, longest shaft that Aldila has ever offered.
Not only popular on Tour, but the "Hottest Shafts in Golf" continue to be the shaft of choice for consumers as well. According to the Darrell Survey U.S. National Consumer Survey, Aldila was the leading graphite shaft manufacturer for new drivers, fairway woods and hybrid clubs for 2006.
