PLANO, TEXAS, October 9, 2007 – Adams Golf won the hybrid counts of the PGA, Champions and Nationwide Tours last week, according to the Darrell Survey. This marked the 13th time that Adams Golf hybrids swept the equipment counts of the top three U.S. Men’s Tours in 2007. Combined, Adams accounted for over 47% of all the hybrids in play last week.
The Valero Texas Open was the third consecutive PGA TOUR event that the company claimed the #1 Hybrid ranking. Additionally, two of the Top 5 finishers at the event played the Idea Pro hybrid. Likewise, two of the Top 5 finishers on the Champions and Nationwide Tours played Adams Golf hybrids as well; a clear indication that contenders can trust the performance of their Adams Golf hybrids when it matters most.
There isn’t another manufacturer that has had more success than Adams Golf with its hybrids played on tour in 2007. According to Darrell Survey data, 4,098 Adams Golf hybrids have been put into play by PGA, Champions and Nationwide Tour pros this year compared to 2,180 hybrids from the next closest competitor. Adams has won 13 hybrid counts on the PGA TOUR this year, and has won every hybrid count on the Champions and Nationwide Tours.
"When a majority of the best players on the top three pro tours prefer our hybrids over the others, it validates our commitment to engineering and designing the very best golf clubs available," said Tim Reed, Adams Golf Vice President of R&D. "We have built a very strong foundation of leadership and innovation in the hybrid category and we won’t rest on our laurels because of the success we’ve had over the past two years. We are focused on developing more products that will perform to the high standards of these world-class players."
