#1 Brand on Tour has Successful Weekend Winning on Every Major Tour
Marlborough, MA-October 9, 2007—CHAMP Spikes, the number one brand on tour, reports a very big weekend as it captured wins on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour and European PGA Tour.
The winner of the 2007 Valero Texas Open won the PGA Tour event for the third time of his career Sunday, beating his opponent in dramatic fashion with a 10-foot birdie putt on the third playoff hole for his 11th Tour victory, and his first since 2005. The victor rode his CHAMP Scorpion Stingerâ?¢ spikes to an achievement no other golfer has claimed since 1962 as he won the Texas Open for the third time. The winner’s shoes utilize the patented Q-LOK® system. At the 2007 Longs Drugs Challenge in Danville, CA the top-two players on the official 2007 LPGA money list battled their way to playoff holes as well. Both women wore CHAMP Scorpion Stinger spikes as they went head to head. It was on the second hole of the playoff where the winner claimed her third victory on the LPGA Tour this year
Across the seas in England, CHAMP’s Scorpion Stinger spikes were the choice of the champion at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews. The victor claimed his second title on The European Tour International Schedule with a two stroke victory shooting a final round 71. CHAMP also outfitted 11 out of the top 14 finishers.
