Bob is a retired Caterpillar executive, who lived most of his working career in Europe and Africa. In fact, he took up the game while living in Casablanca and has played golf in more countries than he can remember. Bob’s most unusual golf experience came in Saudi Arabia where the courses are, to say the least, sandy! Fairways were identified by orange 55 gallon barrels and, if in one, the player had the luxury of hitting his next shot off of a piece of carpet. Otherwise, you’re on your own out of the sand and rock.
Bob currently operates Glass Golf in Fort Myers where he lives at Old Hickory Country Club. He does club repair and builds clubs for members at Old Hickory as well as his numerous friends in the local golf community. To say the least, Bob was surprised and thrilled with his $500 windfall from Mitchell® Golf Equipment Company.
The contest began September 1st as a promotion with the mailing of Mitchell® Golf’s fall catalog. No purchase was required with registration done online. Bob’s name was drawn from several hundred entries. Mitchell® Golf extends its sincere congratulations to Bob and thanks all of those who entered.
