Cedar Falls, IA (10/17/07) – UPRIGHT Golf and Oliver’s, LLC, manufacturer of the Golf Xpress single rider golf car have taken the first step towards Golf Xpress’ new business model. According to Mitch Oliver, owner of the Standish, MI based Golf Xpress, "The time has come for us to modify our business model. The growth that we’ve experienced during the past 2 years requires me to devote more of my time on manufacturing and new product development and less time on direct sales. As a small business good customer service is extremely important. It’s also important that our company continue to be ‘lean-and-mean’ if we’re going to continue offering the ‘best value’ single rider golf car in the industry. To that end we’ve taken the first step in developing a national network of independent distributors to sell and service the Golf Xpress."

The first company that Oliver approached was UPRIGHT Golf (a division of Egli & Associates, Inc.) in Cedar Falls, IA. Oliver was aware that most of his Golf Xpress car customers also purchased UPRIGHT Golf’s senior and adaptive golf playing aids. "UPRIGHT Golf has developed the most comprehensive line of easy-to-use senior and adaptive playing aids in the world. Their products are incredible, they do a global business, and there’s a lot overlap in our markets. In fact, our products are so complimentary we’ve even exhibited together at national shows in the past", added Oliver.

UPRIGHT Golf is excited about the opportunity to represent Golf Xpress as an independent distributor. According to UPRIGHT Golf’s owner, Jim Egli, "We couldn’t be more excited! We’re familiar with all of the single rider golf cars on the market and we’ve seen Golf Xpress’ steady growth in the golf mobility market. During the past 5-6 years we’ve had the opportunity to do business with all of the major adaptive golf programs in the country. During that time we’ve learned about the strengths and weakness of all the different single rider cars from the professionals that are using them. In my opinion, the Golf Xpress car is the most durable, reliable, and dependable SRC on the market. We’re excited about the new GX4 model as it includes an optional KneeDrop for those golfers that want to hit the ball from a more vertical position. Golf Xpress cars have been available in the US longer than any of the other SRCs, they have a growing and loyal customer base, and their new GX4 reflects the fact that they’ve done a great job of ‘listening’ to their customers. The GX4 is priced to make it the ‘best value’ on the SRC market."
