Extension to Additional Tours Intended to Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

Marlborough, MA-October 17, 2007—CHAMP spikes has announced plans to increase their "Pink on the Linksâ?¢" Mother’s Day promotion to include participation from the Champions, European, European Ladies and Duramed Futures Tours. Following the widely acclaimed inaugural program that saw players on the PGA and LPGA Tours sporting the highly visible pink and white version of the CHAMP Scorpion Stingerâ?¢ spikes, CHAMP Spikes once again seeks to significantly enhance breast cancer awareness and raise money towards finding a cure.

Last year the company made a donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) for every player that wore CHAMP’s pink and white spikes at the 2007 PGA Tour event, THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and at the 2007 LPGA Michelob Ultra Open at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia. The winner of the LPGA Tour event at Kingsmill had the commemorative spikes in her shoes for all three rounds. Program enhancements for 2008 aim to increase involvement from players on all tours, as CHAMP eagerly anticipates making a larger donation based on increased player involvement.

As a result of player and public response to the pink and white color combination worn by participating Tour professionals, CHAMP has decided to make their 2008 version of the Lady Stingerâ?¢ pink and white. Other changes to the Lady Stinger golf spike are designed to enhance and improve the golfing experience for lady golfers. The spike will be 15% smaller in size to account for the smaller outsole pattern of ladies golf shoes where standard sized spikes are crowded together, often rubbing against each other. The spikes will also be made from a softer material than the standard Scorpion Stinger spikes to give women the cushioning benefit of the spike’s dual hardness.

"Our main goal with the "Pink on the Links" program is to increase breast cancer awareness," said Harris MacNeill, President of CHAMP. "For 2008 we will set out to make this a global event with players on every major tour wearing the pink and white spikes. We have been working on this specific spike for some time and the fact that we can make it in the pink and white that was so popular in our "Pink on the Links" promotion makes it even better. It takes more than just pretty colors to satisfy the needs of golfers. Our hope is that the smaller profile, combined with the softer material, will give women a better golf experience and in return increase breast cancer awareness and ultimately find a cure."

CHAMP donated nearly ten thousand dollars to BCRF in 2007. Mother’s Day in 2008 will see players on the PGA, LPGA Tour, the Duramed Futures Tour, The European Tour and The Ladies European Tour wearing the trademark "Pink on the Links" in hopes of increasing breast cancer awareness.
