SCOTTSDALE, Arizona, October 23, 2007 — Canadian Mike Weir was the definition of performance under pressure as he held off Mark Hensby to win his eighth career PGA TOUR victory at the Fry’s Electronics Open. And Sundog Eyewear was celebrating with Mike, as they announced the expansion of his Sundog Weir Golf Signature Series sunglasses to three new "winners".
Sundog has been avid supporter of Mike Weir since 2004 – and his Weir Golf Signature Series sunglass featuring CRISTEC Premium Polarized lenses are one of Sundog’s most popular styles.
"We’re very proud of our association with Mike and Weir Golf and extremely excited to announce that for 2008, we have expanded the Sundog Weir Golf Signature Series to three new CRISTEC Premium Polarized styles," said John Whitney, Vice President Product Development for Sundog Eyewear. "Mike’s input was instrumental throughout the design process and we look forward to the debut of his three new sport/fashion styles at the 2008 PGA Merchandising Show in Orlando."
Mike’s victory gives Sundog Eyewear a "2007 Triple Play of Wins" with Sundog Eyewear Genuine Performance team members Paula Creamer winning at the SBS Open and Hunter Mahan posting his first PGA TOUR victory at The Travelers Championship.
